We have had travel restrictions on Americans going to Cuba for 50 years except for journalists and perhaps some restrictions are eased by now. During Hurricane Katrina, Cuba offered to send doctors to the Gulf coast but Bush turned it down. Why would American doctors go to Cuba in the first place? They have excellent doctors there and America needs primary care docs to stay here.

You'd need ALOT of special permissions from both governments. Though it might be tricky coming up with a reason someone from a America would want to go to Cuba!

i would think it would be difficult,, i am Canadian and i have spent time there and not on the resorts. My girlfriend is from Cuba and i stayed in the city of Santa Clara and though the country is lacking in almost everything, health care and doctors it is not,

it would probably be a challenge. Cuba has great medical schools and exports doctors and almost all doctors are government employees.

I am doing a school project where I make up and take on the persona of a person living in Cuba and I was wondering if American doctors/surgeons (someone who was granted advanced permissions from the American government) can find employment while living in Cuba.
