Well darjeeling is one of the best place of India. But it legally belongs to Nepal but it is under the control of india. I think Nepal having tallest mountain Mt Everest, birthplace of Gautam Buddha , the city of temples- Kathmandu etc and many more natural and cultural scenario is the best country to be visited . Please visit nepal once.

and I do know what I am saying having survived living there and running away
on a recent trip the night sky in new delhi was so polluted the sky was fluro green...!!!

as for beaches don't even bother
India isn't exactly known for tourism, but I guess New Dehli would be one of the less lousy places.
you must go to Kodaikanal must check out elephant valley, beautiful waterfalls,
when you travel to India you must opt for the mountains, off-road, off-train, see the temples,
