Greek Island hopping is an experience. Also, anywhere in Italy would be great as most cities have some kind of history..
Paris for me is one of the most beautiful and incredible places that I have ever seen. It was amazing and I would definitely advise people to travel there. I would also say Florence, Italy, because that city was so old and pretty. And the Italians are amazing people! But I think my favorite place that I've visited was Nouméa, New Caledonia. New Caledonia's a French dependency in the South Pacific, and the capital Nouméa was very different, as it wasn't highly touristed but it was still a gorgeous place. And being from New Zealand, I suppose I gotta say that too! :)
I suppose you have never been to Armenia (Nagorno-Karabagh included as well). Before you travel you can get acquainted with this country in en.wikipedia.org. It's the land where Christianity was first proclaimed as state religion (301 AD), in the south of Armenia (Tatev village) you can enjoy the longest and the highest aerial tram of the world, there are many sightseeings (medieval churches, specific monuments like khachqar- stone crosses, pagan temple of the sun goddess Mithra, waterfalls in Jermuk and Syunik, fortresses), beautiful views of biblical mount Ararat from Armenia. If you are fan of extreme tourism it's the best place (Armenia is mostly mountinious country). And in general wonderful nature is guaranteed. I hope you won't get disappointed:-)
That's only suggestion.
You could try take cruises in the Mediterranean, i hear they stop at many diff. places so that would be like... more than 2 birds with 1 stone :)
