How can I be a paid inventor?

Do I have to work in Brookstone?

Brookstone??

Inventing is commonly an independent entrepreneurial activity, employees involved in the invention process are more likely to be titled engineers.

To actually be hired as someone's resident inventor you would have to have a well established innovation track record and probably some impressive degrees.

You need to establish a record of inventions that have commercial success. An engineering degree would be very useful training. Invention is more than just ideas. An invention must also include a description of how it is made and how the device works.

I think I know what you are thinking. You are thinking more like a think tank type thing I am guessing.

Like the movie apollo 13 where those guys had the air filter that was square and had to fit in the round hole and he said "we have to make this fit into this... using nothing but this"

I am guessing that is what you want.To just think stuff up.

Well I do not really know a place that works like that, but I wish I did. I wish there was a place like a consulting firm that just came up with ideas. you have a product problem, bring it to us and will give you some ideas.

So sorry if that is not help, but I do not think the other were taking your question seriously.

invent something and sell it to a lot of people. then invent something else and sell it to a lot of people. keep doing this and word will get out that you are an inventor and people will want to use your services.

LOL

1. Invent something.

2. Sell it.

You have a better chance of being hit by lightning.
