I think you are asking the wrong people.
You can get rid of thhose big Yahoo ads and many others easily and free and without getting involved in a lot of unfamiliar stuff. Download the free version of Malwarebytes and turn it loose. In 20 minutes it will track down and kill all of those big ads on Yahoo and a bunch of others. When it has done its job, remove it from your computer because it will interfere with your other security software. But you can get it back quickly and free any time you need it.
It probably isn't going anywhere - ads like that allow Yahoo to deliver its services for free.
They could at lease put a remove icon at a corner so it can be hidden from view.
