Living Spaces?

I have been in real estate sales full time since 1978. If I had a very good friend that came to me like that I would tell them that the first thing they should dois figure out what the best neighborhood they can afford is. Do not buy a trailer or RV or tiny house and think it is any kind of investment. If you are going to rent that would be fine if you think you may want to move within next couple or three years. A house of some kind will always come with small maintanace jobs from time to time and a condo apartment also would but to a much smaller degree. We would talk quite a while and then I would take you out to walk thru some houses so you could imagine yourself living there. I would not go to this much trouble for a stranger because very often it involves no pay for all my time and trouble.

Dead end answers are what you get when you ask generic questions.

We have no idea how much money you earn or how much debt you have.

We have no idea where you are located and how much housing costs in that area.

We do know your questions doesn't make a lot of sense:

- "refurbished" house? houses are refurbished.

- rv? Do people generally live in rvs in your area? In my area, only people who travel constantly or the homeless live in rvs. Where do you park rvs to live in?

- a tiny house? Do they exist in your area? I live in one of those progressive areas. Pretty liberal. Environmentalists. Socially aware. The kind of area most people would relate tiny houses with. There are a handful and a growing trend, but they aren't something you are going to find in most communities.

What does your race have to do with what kind of living arrangement you want?

You need to take your salary and divide by 3, that will give you the amount you can pay in rent/house.

trailer or rvin a trailer park....cheap, to save up for a house...figure out what to do...ask your father what it means to not buy the cow if the milk is free.....

I am a black 23yr old female fresh out of college with a brand new full-time job. Now that I am able, I would like to live on my own. But I am unsure on what kind of housing I should invest in (I.e. Apartment, refurbished house, trailer, rv, tiny house, rental house, etc.) I have asked everyone older than me to answer this question but they have given me dead-end answers! Help! Serious inquiries only please thank you.
