Looks like only brits do not like when someone says something bad about london or the UK...
And to be honest i am shocked with the british power in the media... and thanks to the british lobby in the states they really work hard... much harder than the people in the UK... which is why london is one of the MOST over rated city in the world...
You might hear freedom of speech... but in the UK it only works when its for their benefit... when you say something they dont like... the questions are deleted or they might say "**** off if you dont like"
this situation reminds me more of emphaty...
lack of emphaty is one of the symptons of sociopathy:) and noone would dissagree brits are one of the most anti social nation... as their culture includes nothing more than flat beer...
it would be nice to hear proper answers
why there is no friendship or family values in London or in the UK...
Why you cant trust an english man when he or she says something? More likely he or shes lying not only in friendship environment same thing happens in the professional business environment as well...
Everyone in the UK hates americans but their politicians act like they love USA... what kind of hypocrite you are?
"Even if i dissaprove what you may think i would defend your right to say it"
london is a hellhole i would never live there now, never used to be like that.
Just as people have the right to diss London (freedom of speech and all that) us Londoners also have the right to defend our city (freedom of speech and all that).
I agree that there are some undesirable things about London, but these are also the things which you will get in big cities all around the world. You get packed commuter trains in Chicago, rude and stressed people in New York, and smog and traffic in Los Angeles; just as you do with London.
But in London, you also get the urban village scenario, which is due to the city evolving in a patchy and historical way, rather than being a planned city with a grid street plan. This means that you can get pockets of charming areas with village feel and happy community spirit, right the way around the city (watch the introduction to the film 'Notting Hill' for instance).
London is a huge and diverse place, and because of this, it has the capacity to provide all sorts of urban area scenarios.....not just the negative ones.
Have you ever visited London? It is the most cosmpolitan city in the world (even more so than NYC). Thre's plenty of friendship and family values.
If you think that all Londoners hate Americans you're not living in the real world. I have plenty of America friends (and relatives for that matter) and most Brits don't hate Americans. We don't like loud-mouthed Americans but most of us know well enough that most Americans aren't like that.
I think we can see from your "questions" that you despise the British people. I would be interested to hear what we did to you. Were your poor opinions of your hosts ill received?
Your comments about London compared to New York are at odds with the experience of most Americans.
How many people do you know in UK? How can you judge all 64 million of us on our family values? Apparently all you know about our culture, evolved since before the Romans, is warm beer...Oh dear.
Why do you say we lie any more than an American? Please expand on that.
You are quite wrong to say that everyone in the UK hates Americans. We are suspicious of your foreign policy. However, most of us like Americans as individuals. They are very welcome here. Only the loud mouthed "USA is best for everything" types are not tolerated.
I know several Americans and like all of them.
However, you are right about our politicians. They are as bad as yours.
Incidentally, what is emphaty?
I've been to the UK. Scotland was a blast. Friendly people, friendly cabbies, great people to drink with. But people in London were straight up mean and rude. To hell with London.
I was Born and Grew up in London and was forced out By Racism went back in 2012 to where i grew up and was told to go back to where i came from
Not in a Million i never want to live in Fulham London ever again
Berlin St Petersburg Edinburgh would be a better Choice Cleaner Friendlier less beggars less abuse
I remember as i was leaving the rats were being Fitted out with Life jackets
Most people you see in London don't live there, they are busy getting to or from work, or working.
The ones who do live there, tend to live in there own communities, Chinese, carribbean etc
in other words the London communities are often not really 'british'
I loved London. Just don't stop them and ask for directions, they hate that. Very much like New Yorkers in that aspect. Otherwise I love their nightlife.
its not all bad besides the waves of hethen infidel you guys let into youre beutiful country its still pretty cool the castles the history... and this is coming from an american
It is full of foreigners. And Londoners.
Its the dim Uk for you
