how can i fulfill my ambitions of leaving manchester?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
im 37, have mental health problems, and i have lived in a small council flat for 11 years in trafford manchester....i have never been employed, never been in education, have a criminal and mental health record.

so i have many disadvantages, but i still have this lifelong ambition to break away from manchester? - to build a new life elsewhere? somewhere quiet-picturesque ....places i had in mind were - cornwall, cambridge, the highlands of scotland.

i desperately want to leave manchester and start a new life elsewhere....even though i do have disadvantages.

tell me, in my position, how could i achieve it?

i feel stuck here, trapped in this situation for ever.

please help me. i am not a troll.

So what have you DONE about ANYTHING since the last time you asked the same question.... and what did you do between then and the time before when you asked it.... NOTHING !

So the reality is that if you are not motivated to get out of your flat, get yourself some work or volunteer and improve yourself and start to build a plan of action then you will still remain in the same place for the rest of your life doing the same thing and in 20 years time you will still be asking the same question and blaming everything and everyone else for your own inaction

You have asked this many times before.

If you are in a council flat, you will have to find someone who wants to swap. However, it's unlikely that anybody from any of those places you desire will be willing.

Howevever, you could spend time outside Manchester on day trips. The Peak Forest is near.

Hi you will need to resolve your many issues before moving anywhere a housing is of a premium no matter where so leaving a association housing is the first problem a swap may be you best solution.

Perhaps by doing something about it, rather than posting endlessly on here?

No-one can or will wave a magic wand; if you want to move, you're going to have to make it happen.

You have asked this question over and over and over and over and over and over again - you have been given many excellent responses, but you do nothing to help yourself. Nothing has changed. You have to get off your duff and DO something instead of sitting around moaning about your life. It is your life and only you can change it.

The first thing you can do is stop asking this question.

Life is a book and those who do not travel only read one page.

Go explore & see all the places in the UK that you may enjoy and enjoy life and all it has to offer in the UK or around the world. Life isn't meant to be lived in one place.

Learn a skill or a trade. The city will have programs for the unemployed and uneducated. Sign up for one of those. That will be your first step.

Not by keep posting the same question

just leave, you can always get welfare somewhere else
