Regarding to the past, we don't feel guilty of anything, as most of us are desdendents of those Spaniards who didn't go to America, but of those who remained in Spain, so they didn't commit any crime, and even if they did, we don't judge the sons for what their parents or grandparents did.
@Alex, we don't use that word as a common term to refer to them, it's a long time that I have not heard anyone using that word, but it's somehow something similar to when they call us gallegos, or similar things, but I consider those words silly terms.
In my opinion, I wish Latin America was richer, safer, and better governed, and think that most of Latin americans living in Spain, wish the same for Spain, as they could enjoy the good times when they came and now are suffering with us the consequences of the crisis.
