My mum is a very fun mum, so I don't think she'll be that much of an obstacle for fun things.
Also, anything more spring summery? For example, not ice skaing or anything like that.
So far we've got:
Shopping
Lunch on a boat
Take a boat ride across the River Thames
Tea in the Shard
Haagen Daaz Restaurant
Is there anything else that isn't TOO expensive?? Like not the London Eye, as for 4 girls it might be quite a lot, though I don't really know.
Thank you so much! I'm so grateful! :)
i always DO .... lunch in china town ( Leicester square ) ...all you can eat buffet ..pretty cheap loads of restaurants to chose from
then from Leicester square , i always pop over to the london eye , as there are loads of street entertainers just along by it .... next to the London eye is also a mini-bowling alley , maccy'ds and arcade and art gallery
i usually have a sit down at the London eye , on the grass , look at the entertainers , big ben ..is in walking distance and number 10 and the palace .... there is a great book stall just under the bridge ...at the BFI ( British film institute )
or if i am at harrods just beyond it is a great place to crash on the grass ... in Kensington park ....people walk there dogs , sail toy boats etc etc .... nice to watch the world go by taking a breather
as for activities ... DUCK TOURS would be better than cruise ( google )
TATE gallery ( FREE )
don't do any TOURS they are a rip off ( ie: bus tours etc etc )
at night if you are still there about 7pm ..... there is ghost and jack the ripper walking tours about £10+ lasts a good few hours ( again goggle ghost or jack tours ) ...they are meant to be very good
i usually do pubs crawls ....i just a tube ticket and get off at stations i like and go into pubs ...the at night i do the strip clubs ...
but anyway .... you could also checkout camden market ..it's ok
avoid drinking in the square mile it's a tourist trap and there is alot of sh!t restaurants as well..so choose carefully
places of interest - the globe( Shakespeare ) and the tower of london ...all in walking distance of london eye
Get a map (a real paper version) and study it before you get to London.
If you are staying downtown, get a 24 hour (or longer) pass on one of the Hop-On-Hop-Off buses. They are the double-decker type. Don't think they are just for a single tour of the city: you can use them to get all around town, getting off and on as many times as you like.
