The Highlands of Scotland will take your breath away. Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond are awesome places.. Duart Castle. I spent time near the RAF base (while I was in US Navy) in Kinloss near Loch Ness. No.. didnt see Nessie. Out of 29 Countries I've been to.. Scotland was the most awing place... Crete was a close 2nd. The Museum at Heraklion was incredible.. as well as the ruins of the Palace of Knossos.
Spain was nasty.. dirty and not a fun place. I was all over Madrid, Rota, Algeciras. Dont waste your time with France.. been there - hated it. The Normandy coast is pretty neat though near Caen. Morocco was an experience.. but keep your wallet close (pickpockets are damn good).
