There is:
1. Shanghai, China
2. Hong Kong, China
3. Tokyo, Japan
4. Seoul, South Korea
5. Bangkok, Thailand
OR in the middle east: The Dead Sea in Jordan.
Which would be the best to spend a week in to have fun, experience a different part of the world and to do activities that would be different from those here at home?
Thanks!
Bangkok - surely the only place on your list that mgiht be fun... though you don't say where you are from...
I have been to Bangkok and it is a wonderful city and the Thai people are very friendly and welcoming. Thai food is also (in my opinion) one of the best cuisines. There are also a lot of markets that sale everything from tourist souvenirs to more traditional Thai items. All at a very affordable cost. Overall there are a lot of options and culture to take in:)
What about Bhutan, Burma or Mongolia? Have a look at Panoramic Journeys' website. There are so many different things to experience there - going to traditional festivals, dog sledding with the reindeer herders, living with nomads, etc.

Hong Kong is easy to get around and because it was a UK colony until a few years ago there isn't a real language barrier.
