Where's a warm place to live?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
I've been thinking..and I know i'm too young to move off anywhere on my own yet, but when i am older i want to move somewhere with warm weather. I'm always cold, and i can't stand cold weather. I live in the central valley in california, and like the weather when its 70-80-90+ degrees. i don't think its winter yet but its too already cold for me and i hate it. it was soo foggy and cold all day today T_____T but yeah, i doesn't have to be in the U.S. I want to travel to many different places so it would be really cool to live somewhere else for a while. As long as its warm/maybe hot/sunny, but not like 115 degrees hot. I can speak some spanish and i plan on learning all of it so i could live somewhere that speaks spanish? I know I'm not going anywhere for a while but i'm just looking for ideas.

thanks :)

Some Asian beach island are usually great to live in especially when want a warmer and much cozier climate. Try Bali Island.

Man... I wish I lived somewhere where it was cold. The summer before last, we had four solid months of 110+ degree weather, and virtually no rain for a year and a half. It was absolutely wretched.

Anyway, if you want to live somewhere where the weather is consistently warm, you'll want to move to a coastal region that resides next to a major warm water current. California weather is chilly because it resides next to a current that brings cold water in from Alaska.

Southern Spain would obviously be a good choice since you speak Spanish, as would anywhere in the Mediterranean if you're looking for temperatures that are warm but not sweltering. The same goes for the coast of Brazil and southern Japan. So long as you stay in coastal areas the weather will never be extreme. Don't go anywhere arid because you tend to get extreme highs and lows.

Hi Melissa,

well, there are over 100 countries that have warm weather, so the choice is yours. Since you already speak Spanish going to Latin America would be a good choice. All countries in Central America are warm all your round, and most countries in South America as well. Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay get colder during their wintertime though.

I am from Southern California and backpack a lot (for longer period of times) in Latin America.

You probably would like countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, as well as Nicaragua, and Panama. All of these countries have a pretty low cost of living with Bolivia beging very inexpensive (cheapest country in Latin America).

Wherever you wanna go, have a great time.

Greece is a very beautiful country to live in and the weather is very warm there
