it could be either which ever you want to pick makes no difference it could also be the place you now live
for me having moved thousands of times when people ask "where are you from" well I never know what to say so I instead ask where are they from and then relate some experience of my time in that place
people seem to like that then forget that I did not answer

i choose 2 because you lived there the longest. hometown has nothing to do with where you were actually born if you don't know the place and can't remember it.
