Hi there,
with the exception of some expatriates Argentina's population is 100% hispanic/latino. All countries in South America are considered Latin American countries. It has nothing to do with the race.
Argentina is Hispanic. They speak Spanish, and have a Hispanic culture. That is what being Hispanic means, although people in the u.s. often confuse it for a race. You hear people in the u.s. refer to Hispanics as if we were a race, although we are a culture. Hispanic means "of Spain" just like Germanic means "of Germany" and originally the term actually did refer to people from Spain. The use of Hispanic to refer to a race began in the u.s. some decades ago for census purposes. But in Latin America, when we say Hispanic, we usually are talking about something having to do with Spain.
Argentines are Latinos/Hispanics. They have more European blood than many but they are all Hispanics. Hispanic is not a racial category it is a cultural one.
I know its a White country surrounded by Hispanic/Latino countries and Id like to know if Argentina is having the same problems as the U.S. with Hispanics. I would like to move there because it has the Highest Percentage of White people in the Americas and with few Hispanics.
I will give 10 pts to the best answer.
Thanks.
