answering him a Latin American
Latin America is part of america that was colonized by the Portuguese and Spaniards, ie from Mexico to Argentina, is one of the subdivisions of america, the other is north, south and central American countries of Latin are my Brazil, Mexico, port rich, peru, chile, argentina paraguay and many others
excuse the errors is that it is hard to answer in English
First off, unlike such terms as, "North America," "South America," "Central America, "Latin America" has NOTHING to do with geography - and is a difficult question as it has more than one answer. "Latin America" is concerned with the regions where Romance Languages (Portuguese and Spanish) are spoken. SO, one definition has, "Latin American" encompassing Mexico, the majority of Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean nations of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Others definitions refer to, "Latin America" as any country south of the United States (which would be Central America and South America. A third would separate Latin America from the rest of the Americas simply by whether the primary language is based on Romance language or the population is English-speaking.
SO, in short, NOT a geographic term like North American or South America!
Countries from Mexico all down to Argentina. People in these countries speak either Spanish or Portugese, members of the Latin language family.
The parts of the American continent where Spanish or Portuguese is the main national language (i.e., Mexico and, in effect, the whole of Central and South America including many of the Caribbean islands)
The countries in the Caribbean and American continents that speak Spanish or Portugese. (Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Central and South America, etc.)
what countries are belong to latin america??? what is the relation of it on north and south america?..
