Hi. I'm going to be traveling greyhound in a few weeks from toronto to winnipeg. Its around a 25 hour bus ride or so. I've read a bunch of horror stories and I'm not too scared but I'm just wondering if there are any more tips you can give or if truly is as bad as people say it is?

It's not that bad. Just make sure to sit with someone who doesn't look scary and someone who looks nice. Also don't stare at people. I have that problem and they always say something or give me weird looks that make me scared. Bring a book or your phone to use while on the bus and make sure to always use the bathroom during breaks

I don't think you have to be worried about safety, there are professionals on the bus including the driver and several business passengers and well minded family people. just be mindful where your luggage and belongings are at all times. do not trust strangers with your belongings. although many people like i said are good, there are also professional pickpocketers and theives. Just keep watchful and stay safe at all times.

If you have valuables like jewelry cash ,or a cell phone, do not prominently display any of them.

Find another girl about the same age riding the bus. Act like you're not going alone.
