Would we have any problems because of our age along the way? Is it a good idea?
What are your all opinions on this?
I was recently searching up hotels and motels and some of them require a minimum check in age of 18. So I think you can stay there. And it would be nice to have an adult since one person driving across country and then back to Florida is too much driving. You will be very tired so at least have another person so you can split up the driving. Or wait till your girlfriend turns 18 and then go so you two can split the driving. Totally up to you. Also, don't drive too much at night. Only during the day as it is safer than night. And if your parents agree and her parents agree....I say drive and have fun. By your words, you seem mature so just act like an adult and you'll be fine.
Most hotels require you to be 21 to check in.
Some do allow 18+, but you need a credit card in YOUR name. Not a debit/bank card.
Driving this far is not a good idea. Have you ever driven this much before. How good of shape is your car in? What happens if your car breaks down? Do you have AAA? any road side assitance?
What if no hotel in the area allows 18+ check in? Do you have back up funds?
No it's too crazy traveling these days. You might get robbed, beat up, who knows.
Not a good idea, and the age difference will cause issues.
Where do you plan to stay. for one thing? You'll get turned away and camp out in strange unsafe locations.
A summer trip would be good. But make sure her parents agree. However if you have sex with her you could get brought up on statutory rape charges or other related charges on a federal level. Some states have weird laws regarding under aged sex.
