But u probably won't even see one the whole time ur there. Its just good that u know anyways.
And when u put on ur shoes daily there. Check ur shoes and make sure that there is not a scorpion in ur shoes. The scorpions there are also poisonous and u would need to go to a hosp or clinic right away if u get bit by one but also that depends on what part of the country ur at.
Also CR has like 15 different snake species that are poisonous and that depends where are also.
And we have a little frog that is really tiny and even cute but if u have a cut and u touch it. U would act like if u took acid.

Yes, Costa Rica has its weird creatures. But "tranquilo", it is rare to see them, especially if you go in touristic places. You may see scorpions, snakes, capillar moths, etc.
But very very rare are the tourists bit by a snake.
Scorpions maybe is the most familiar, but in more than 5 years, I saw just some few and never in a hotel. They are painful but not mortal.

You don't say whether you will be spending your nights in the forest or in a town. There are poisonous snakes in the area like the fer de lance and some vipers but they are nocturnal so you may never run into them. Do you mean la Fortuna?

Yes, there are, but its unlikely to see anything but cockroaches in towns.
