yes i lived in zona 15 for about 6 months . i paid Q3000 per month for a 1 bd room apartment , plus utilities , security and maintenance that was another Q400 . with food and when u add all the expenses i was paying about Q6000 or so a month.
There are a lot of US Embassy families and teachers that live in that area. Zone 15 has lower rent than Zone 10 and 14. You can find a nice 2 bedroom place for $650 to $750 a month. All the other expenses are about the same. The only drawback to living there is the traffic. I wouldn't put up with Vista Hermosa if I could avoid it (and I do).
My guess is that in zona 15 you will easily need 500 dollares for rent an apartment, and additionally will have to pay water, electricity, etc.
Regarding food, depends, as if you are talking about going out in restaurants you will need more moneys as if compared to just buying your food, in which case that will be cheaper and comparable to other zonas in Guatemala.
about 1000 USD GIVE or Take Per Month to Live on Zona 15 ! =0
Depends on what your looking for
Has anyone lived in zona 15 in Guatemala? How much are living expenses such as rent, food and other basic necessities?
