Hi Mario, well... Venezuela is a beautiful country but sadly right now It's not a good place to live. The government is awful, so we are in a critical socioeconomic situation. I recommend you to search online about the demonstrations we are having here since last month. Students have been killed by the government, Caracas is the second city most dangerous in the world, 25 thousands people died last year cause of homicides with a rate of impunity of 97% and with the highest inflation of the world with a 56%.
I do not recommend you to come here right now. Maybe in the future when we'll get back on track because this is a really great country with wonderful people and we'll love to have you here, we like americans. :)
Not a particularly good place to live but it has a lot of potential. Caracas is officially the most dangerous city int he world--not in a civil war. Crime is high but also it is hard to buy things, there are frequent power outages and high inflation. To add to that right now Venezuela is in the middle of a rather violent political crisis. I won't take sides in that conflict but right now it is a tough place to live. That said there still are relatively nice and relatively safe places in Venezuela and the Venezuelan people are cool. The Venezuelan government has a lot of issues with America and many people do--but that does not translate into having problems with individual Americans.
Venezuela is a big country. Many cities - mountains, beaches - Some areas right now are very dangerous.
Others are not at all. You must specify where you might live.
