The company my husband works for has asked him if he wants to head up a new branch in London as part of their international branches. This would obviously be huge. The company said if he says no, he can stay in New York and everything would be fine. I feel like because my husband is from England and his family is only an hour away from London it would be nice, but at the same time we are all set in Manhattan. I love both cities, so it is a tough decision. Any ideas?
Well I live in London and I hate it. It's a very cold place and the people aren't exactly friendly. The weather also sucks, we have about one week of sunshine each year and it's just altogether miserable. Also, it's EXTREMELY expensive and I promise you, you won't have anywhere near as nice a house here as you do in New York because it's just so expensive. As for your children, the education system isn't too good so it wouldn't make any difference. Personally, I would stay in Manhattan but it's up to you.

No, I don't like the city. It's just too squashed with loads of people, grey, dirty with rubbish everywhere. London, is a city of business though. When I visited London, it seemed like a cold place to be and the people weren't inviting. Overall, no.
