I'm into:
Paranormal
Wildlife (especially exotic)
Snorkelling or Scuba Diving
I'd preferred prefer to go somewhere laid back with a lot of things to do outside. I'd also prefer to be near the ocean.
I think you will very much enjoy Curacao (Netherlands Antilles) in the Caribbean. It is a small island right next to Aruba and St. Martin. And since you are staying for a month you can swap islands and do snorkeling and scuba diving...the ocean is just beautiful. Europe is also a great destination but I suggest you choose no more than 3 cities so you can spend quality time in each one. My suggestions are: southern Italy - Positano, Capri, Sicily, and Sardinia and the Greek islands of Santorini, Mykonos and Zakinthos. Also, make sure to pack up outdoor gear and other accessories I usually get mine at iceoutdoor.com these guys have really good stuff. Hope this helps.
If you can deal with a gazillion hour flight, I would suggest Australia since you like wildlife. I think Hawaii is overrated. My list includes Italy, Japan, Ireland, and London. Those are the places I want to visit for good culture, good food, and good scenery. I also love wildlife and outdoors. Sorry I cannot be more helpful but I haven't been to anywhere outside the US unless you include Nassau and it was not that great. The cruise that took me there was though. That's it! You should take a cruise that goes to several places. It would be cheaper than going to one place and staying for a month. And I am sure you can find one that is going to be on the water for a while. You would love a cruise.
When you go by Costa Rica, make sure you visit the most of it, go to http://www.vacationscostarica.com/ and see for yourself, getting ideas of places and what not, you don't really have to buy any of their packages but it's good info non-theless.
Come to Australia, we are the most laid back people you'll ever meet i can guarantee!
