Oh go. Life is much too short to miss out on an experience like that. Two weeks' vacation anywhere would cost more than that. That you'd get to merge with the culture could be a great experience. The big questions to ask are whether it's an organized trip, is it a college-sanctioned trip, who is organizing it, what are the accommodations, what other expenses will you have, trip insurance, security and safety for the group.

I would go to experience a different culture, however, $ 3,500.00 for 2 weeks Peru is a lot. I know that college trips are not cheap though.

Is it worth it to go to Peru for $3,500? The price may drop by a couple hundred. Anyways, it would be 2 weeks in Peru with a group from college, we would be volunteering to help people there, talking in Spanish and all that good stuff. Also, going to Machu Pichu and touring other cities like Cusco and so on. Is $3,500 a good price for all that? Is it worth it? Or is that too much?
