I don't have a single favorite place to vacation every year. I enjoy going to places I've never been before. However, there are some things I do most years like going to Carnevale in Venice, Oktoberfest in Munich, to Keukenhof Garden in the Netherlands or one or more of the Christmas markets around Europe (e.g., Copenhagen, Prague, Vienna ...). They're all different experiences and all of them are great; I don't really think of any of them as better than another.
That has got to be Sri Lanka

this is the only place that I dream about returning to
The place is gorgeous the people wonderful lots to see
and do and if like taking photo's then loads to capture
with your little box...,,

Barcelona is a great place to visit. To see the highlights of the city I would recommend a minimum of 5 days, but you could easily spend a week or more. With regards of accommodation, there are great choices in all price range – here are a few nice mid-range places I know:

My absolute favorite place to vacation is the Outerbanks in NC. The locals are extremely friendly and helpful, the waters are clean and unpoluted, and it isn't filled with condominiums and motels like most beaches. However, Ive always desired to go to Hawaii.
Jamie, for me both places are in Australia. The first one being Sydney, and the other being Queensland.
My ultimate, while there, I would like to go back to the Australian Interior, unbelievable man.
I think the most attractive places to visit are,,,,,,
Hong Kong and some city of China.
the Caribbean, particularly Jamaica or the lesser antilles, because i love the culture AND the land/wildlife. its the only place i can dance to my favorite music AND snorkel in clear water the same day. oh and good food
