For scenery especially, but also including a place to move and live?
1)Areas surrounding the Alps. Magnificent mountain range than doesn't have the high altitude as much as the peaks that just rise out of the ground. And you won't be far from a city for normal living either.
2)New Zealand. I'll agree with the other poster about them from what I've seen (in pics).
3)Glacier, Banff NPs in North America. It's not always too cold, and Calgary is a decent sized city in the area.
4)Southern Alaska, and north of Vancouver. Getting pretty cold and/or wet, but not too bad. Great mountain, lake and ocean vistas. That will still have cities nearby (in either).
5)Chilean Andes. Spectacular mountain views. And while the surrounding cities/amenities aren't as good, hard to beat that scenery.
Yeah, I think of mountains for scenery first, then beaches.
Cinque Terre in Italy. The scenery is spectacular. I can highly recommend Italy - beautiful art, architecture, scenery and music, interesting local festivals, great people and food. Beaches, mountains, lakes, the ocean, historic sites, world class museums and galleries and a lot of varied things to see and do. The best part is the wonderful Italian people. It's very easy to get out and explore Italy and further in Europe using the trains or budget flights. At a high level, life isn't all that different; you still need to work to support yourself, shop, cook, clean house, etc. It's the details that are different. Life tends to be more relaxed. Rather than driving everywhere i tended to walk or bike places. Life was generally at a slower pace. There were frequently things going on in town and local events tended to have something for the entire family. You could stroll into town in the evening and see a concert, dance recital, play in local dialect or other event in the piazza two or three weeks a night in the summer. The local market was Saturday in the town where I lived and then would move on through other towns during the week. There was a local antiquaria (flea market) the 2nd Sunday of every month where the streets were filled with merchants and people browsing/socializing.
I if i were going to move I would want to have a jonb first and not run out of money. If there was nearby places where I already save, time and a chance you would .People you are presently know your a great person to be around
Moving is a reality that when you finally got settled in a stranger knows your whereabouts.
in closing ; there are advantages as well as disadvantages Use discernment before you move
Do you a have a loyal that has plenty of activities talk to someone that's move an the answer you're seeking is the pesisn you're to.
Hope this has helped you Think twice, act once
If cost and job is no problem, there are millions of places with breath taking scenery from Nepal to Antarctica. Then there are categories like beach, mountains, rolling countryside, urban, etc.
For a few years, I liked looking at NYC from Jersey, at night. So, if you have the money, your question is way too broad.
well yes hawaii would be beautiful... there are heaps of places which one could suggest
BUT...no matter where you live in the world you soon forget the scenery if you are broke miserable unhappy unemployed hungry
find the middle ground... somewhere you can feel safe happy AND financially secure
