WordPress vs. Weebly - What's Better For The Techies? Why?

There is no doubt that WordPress has huge potential and surely one of the great platforms for creating your blogs. But no real company should use it. Very insecure.

I've been a Weebly user for years and I've regularly heard WordPressers say Weebly sucks. Not the new Weebly 2014 for Developers! I started with DreamWeaver in 2004 and tried using WordPress. Didn't stick. Too limited. Weebly won my heart.

I have always been leery of Wordpress and it's reliance on plugins. they have caused many hacks and lawsuits. Weebly is best, Webs is okay.Though I love Wordpress for blogging (no coding issues to wrangle with), I was always too skeptical. WordPress never works right and will crash the more you code on it. Weebly doesn't. Simple.

Weebly is basically an easy-to-use web design platform using what's known as "drag and drop" (you drag things-pictures or whatever- where you want them on a page) and what you see (as your'e doing it) is what you end up with.

Wordpress doesn't allow you to stick things wherever you want -you kind of have to keep things in "containers"- moving things randomly in the page would require advanced coding skills (editing php files etc.)-basically if you want to put a picture on a wordpress page you have 3 choices- left-center-right ...

In a nutshell Wordpress is quite a bit more difficult to learn but has more features - Wordpress also has a database that allows you to create email lists etc. It also has several "plug ins" available that allow you to have more features and automate a lot of tasks. Wordpress started out as a blogging platform (which it still is) but grew in popularity with web designers because once you wrap your mind around the fundamentals you can do/create just about anything, especially with the multitude of available "themes" ( templates) and a decent knowledge of html, css and php.

WordPress offers loads of themes and the ability to customize them, but Weebly overall is better for tech companies and they don't charge as much as WordPress. The free WordPress is useless.

WordPress is for amature bloggers and rich people. You may think you get a larger following but it's only limited to people using WordPress, unlike Weebly which for businesses has SEO and site verification for search engines.

So naturally the growing stars, wannabes and total beginners also default to WordPress without ever considering anything else. Weebly has better features if you pay and the team will deny you anything if you're a free user which is fair to say the least.

Weebly all the way, more code and file access.

It's depends your website requirement either weebly or wordpress both are search engine friendly.

For my point of view "WordPress" is better than Weebly. It is very useful platform for creating the website or blog.

Wordpress, because Wordpress is often known as a blogging tool for people who want to blog about their interests. However, nowadays, Wordpress is being used on non-blog websites, including e-Commerce websites.

There is a much larger community supporting WordPress, mainly because they have a lot of different designers and programmers that provide services and build tools (such as plugins) for WordPress users. So finding WordPress experts is relatively easy.

Wordpress hands down. Because it is flexible. You can do almost everything with wordpress.
