If your designing and creating websites for clients, using free hosts is kinda tacky, and won't get you into the good paying level of service, I suppose there are cases where only a one page online business card is needed and a free host would suffice.
Looking into hosting the clients sites, the basic $8/mo "unlimited" shared host server would suffice for many low traffic sites each with their own domain name, there are also hosting Reseller accounts that allow you to neatly bill clients for their hosting, this can be virtually set and forget revenue.
Using outsourced web developers might also make sense for larger projects, many web debvelopment services outsource the nots and bolts, there are lots on freelance marketplaces like odesk.com, elance.com, vworker.com it can take a bit of trial and error to find one you would want to stick with.
FYI 17% of the top 1 Million sites are Wordpress based, you can choose themes, add plugins and setup a site without programming, most hosts have easy wordpress installers. Templatemonster is a source of predesigned sites that can be a real labor saver.
Hey Teddy,
There are some good reviews on this site here - http://www.websitebuilderexpert.com/ - they go over the pros and cons of the website builders that you mentioned in your post, specifically this post here - http://www.websitebuilderexpert.com/wix-...
Looks like the people commenting there also found it helpful. Good luck!
Agreeing with some of the other posters, I certainly would use my own websites, Building on other's platforms is not only tacky but leaves you at their mercy.
Hosting and domain names are cheap. Get your own. For a site building software, free WordPress works great.
Hi there,
I was looking for a free download Hunting Unlimited 2010 I found it here: http://bit.ly/1BDAAdo
Finally the full version is avaiable!
Thanks to Hunting Unlimited you will experience a hunting simulation in your PC without needing to risk your life.
those free ones don't last and can get taken down at random. A domain name only cost $12 for the whole year and hosting is cheap. I'd go this route if I was you:
I am starting a Marketing firm/agency and we are looking to "do it all" , and among that, is designing and creating websites. I have found that sites like Wix, Weebly and Squarespace are great and we want to use those because they are easy to use and create great looking websites with lots of feautres. What site would you reccommend for building our website and building others. We already made a free one on wix but have heard that the SEO is less than stellar. We also found that Squarespace makes some great sites and has awesome features. Any feedback would be appreciated!!!
