I am new to this concept and searched for it on the internet and found out that there is not much written why this business model works and how it is possible to generate money for PTC website members and the advertisers.
The PTC websites claim that they provide the platform for the advertisers to get the traffic to their websites which will increase sales. If I think from the advertisers' point of view; why will I pay for getting the traffic which I know; is not legitimate as website members are not clicking for the sake of purchasing something.(So increase in sales is a myth)
On the other hand, I don't think that I will get anything by getting the traffic to my website in such way (or will I ?).
Conversely; Pay Per Click model is quite straight-forward as only the potential clients will click on the advertisement and you are paying for the clicks accordingly.
