Is this a real craigslist ad?

You are correct - it's a scam. There are so many warnings on Craigslist

1 - before you even look at cars, THIS page comes up http://houston.craigslist.org/i/autos?&c...

2 - if you just clicked and didn't read it, then on the top of every listings page, it says in big letters, underlined and all caps "[ AVOID OFFERS TO SHIP VEHICLES ]'

3 - If for some reason users missed that or chose to ignore it, then on every single individual listing it says in red so you can't miss it "Avoid scams, deal locally! DO NOT wire funds (Western Union, Moneygram). Avoid cashier checks, money orders, shipping, non-local buyers/sellers."

Amazon has NOTHING to do with any sales that are not listed for sale on Amazon.com and you pay through Amazon's payment page with your Paypal account or credit card. They don't work with Craigslist

Craigslist is ONLY ever for face to face CASH transactions or you will always get scammed

Report the ad ASAP to get it removed before someone falls for it

It's a scam. The fact that the car has to be shipped to you (at the seller's expense?), and the fact that they want to do the transaction through a third party are sure signs that the deal is not legit.

Never dare pay anything upfront in Craigslist.

Only trade if you can touch it first, before handing over any money.

Craigslist = ScamsList.

Be careful. Do not be naive and gullible.

It's a scam. I'm sure if you google, a lot of testimonies will show.

So, there is an ad on craigslist for a car, but it would have to be shipped to me. They are asking for amazon stuff to make the transaction. Is this legit, because I don't think it is?
