Is selling headphones online a good business?

Headphones are relatively low tech electronics which may be why I believe there's a large amount of knockoff sellers you would be competing with. Positing yourself as an expert using a quality site with lots of quality articles might help reach the audiophiles buying high end products.

In my opinion, anything is a good thing to sell online, even if its saturated. True that it may be a little easier with something with less competition, but the key is to how you market it. You can have the best product or best site in the industry, but if nobody knows about it, they'll never know. Have you had an interest in selling for a while now?

I think headphones are something that everyone looks for that specific brand that they favor. Mine happens to be apple earpod heapdphones. They are around $30, $20+ on ebay brand new. In order to make profit off these one would have to get the knock off version imo. If somehow you could find that popular name brand item in wholesale really cheap ; you're pretty lucky. Usually to get name brand wholesale they have you pay them to get the opportunity. I myself would never buy knock off headphones; same with a lot of others. These days everyones walking around showing off their $200 beats. Now if you got a product that isn't affected much by being name brand or not; sure you should definitely profit. Take cell phone chargers for instance; people really don't care about the brand; they just want a good deal. Hope this helped.

I'm starting an ecommerce website. I wanted to sell phone cases and accessories but that market is VERY saturated so I decided to do something with a little less competition (I think). I wanted to sell different brands of headphones online like an online retailer, is this a profitable niche to start a business in or is it too saturated like the phone case market?
