No offense, but your layout is horrible. It looks like something created in 1998 with basic html and a bunch of iframe content from Amazon. You seriously need to update the look and navigation, or it won't matter how many visitors you get, as your bounce rate will be very high and conversion rate very low.
Also, the number of visitors doesn't matter if they aren't TARGETED visitors. You need to target people looking for products and shopping websites online. A bunch of random hits won't help you.
PPC advertising works well, but it can also get expensive if you don't know how to write good ad copy. Try testing your ads with small buys first and then scale up what works.

I have started my website. www.shop-in-one.co.uk and so far ive had 1700 visitors in 2 weeks. Im not sure whether this amount of traffic is decent or not and whether I should be approaching my way of advertising the way i do.
