I would not bother showing any ads until you build up your search engine ranking and are getting decent traffic, at least hundreds of visotors a week, ads don't help search ranking and can put off new visitors. Some sites need for example 10,000 visitors to make the min $100 payout from Adsense.

You can search for Adsense Alternatives to find review of similar programs that may not pay quite as well as Adsense but have lower min payouts and easier qualification.
