Patience.

Well all those answers are kinda obvious & unhelpful!!

Its pretty much the luck of the drawer I'm afraid. Age old Statement: Supply & Demand. You could see a game on one week & there happens to be 2 or 3 people that want it, so it will go high. Then decide its a good time to sell your one (if was the same for example), but the next week, there may only be 1 serious buyer, so it could end with you getting half what the person the week before got, even if set to finish same sort of time & day. That is important too, that you have your items finishing around 7-9pm in the evening when most people are home & able to concentrate on Ebay. Being an established seller will up the stakes a bit, but most people will search in the order of ITEMS FINISHING SOONEST, so that won't matter. Sometimes listing at a BUY IT NOW price is safer, but it will usually take longer to sell. Setting prices lower or higher, again luck of the drawer, but with games I would suggest it is better to start at 99p, cos that way you'll possibly get a few people WATCHING your item & bidding towards the end. Then often end up paying more than what you were gonna pitch it at anyway, whereas they would have bypassed it at a higher price to start.

Good Luck.

Too many new eBay sellers begin with tremendous optimism but end up burned out, frustrated, or financially worse off than when they began. Many of these sellers try to lay the blame at eBay's feet, or at buyers' feet (yes, they often blame "unreasonable" customers) when in fact a little common sense and some awareness of common mistakes could have helped them to get off on the right foot.

You only get high bids if you are a seller with excellent feedback and you are selling quality items people want to buy, with great photos and a good description (and other sellers aren't selling the same thing at a lower price!).

Sell something everyone wants

Put a detailed description

Multiple pictures.

Run the auction a week or more

look at it from the other side, ebay is a place to get stuff cheap.

games are fairly common, anything that is common can not get a high price.

Sell something decent for once
