Use your father's last name followed by "...Mechanical Engineering & Machine Programming Corp."
It may be more fiscally beneficial if the two companies were separated into their own entities in case one does down hill. This way half the corporation won't drag the other one down if it fails.

My dad has owned and operated a company that does mechanical engineering/machine programming for a few years, but due to financial not-good-things, we have to transfer over to a new business. I guess cuhs the old one has something that translates to a bad credit score or something? Idk.
