Advertising Boards Outside My Store?

If the wall is outside your shop, that means you can do with it whatever you like as long as you continue paying your rent. Just phone a few advertising agencies from the yellow pages and offer them your wall for their adverts. You will make a fortune.

There are no laws about displaying adverts on your walls as long as they are not obscene or racist or anti government.

Hello MathsGood,

You need to check with the local authority on the rules and regulations about advertising. Once you have done so, check with the best mobile provider or the largest TV station (these are the best clients I would go for) to advertise on it. You would probably share the revenues with the local authority and the owner of the building.

Yes you would need to check by-laws and planning rules. If it is allowed you need to approach people who may be interested or you could put up an initial board with the slogan 'You could be advertising here call this number for more info' sort of thing.

You need to contact the council first and find out if you are allowed to have advertising on it or not.

Then if you can, just go through the yellow pages or yell and start calling advertising agencies.

I have a corner shop which is both an off licence and grocery. I have a t-junction right in front of the shop so a lot of exposure to the public. On the side of the shop, there is a massive wall which is not being used but is seen by many people. i wanted to hire it out to an advertising company. However, i need to know what the rules are, and who to contact to ask if they want to hire this space out. Can you list a few companies and ho much can i get for it? around 9-16 square meters.
