The more inland and rural you get, the cheaper the rent tends to be. Basic economics the lower the demand, the lower the price.
Try over near Orange Avenue and Michigan St., just south of downtown. I don't know the prices there, but it looks affordable, and it's an up-and-coming area in a convenient location.
I live in Saint Lucie Country, and while it's a bit cheaper, it's crazy with the rents. How about Titusville? I know it's a way to drive, but the lower rent might make it cheaper. Good Luck, I don't know what the landlords are thinking. The "recovery" or whatever hasn't blessed us yet.
Typically; anyplace along "Alligator Alley", across south central Florida is the Cheapest... As is MOST Places Away from the Coasts, & down in the Everglades... :)
I'm in Hunters Creek and want to move out, but the cheapest 1 room 1 bath apartments are like $1200, anyone know an area within at most 30 miles of any Valencia campus (I'm going to school there) or UCF that's relatively cheap or inexpensive in Central FLorida? preferably Orange Country.
