Questions about my new lease?

Leasing is not the best financial option. You would be better off buying a used car that you have checked out by a mechanic before you buy it. Pay cash & only get what you can afford to by cash. You never get ahead by going into debt.

"after the 3 years I will have paid over 20k just to lease a car"

Why is this tolerable to you in ANY respect?

Leasing is rarely good. Do you know how many miles you drive per year. Most people drive much more than 12k. You are better off buying an affordable car.

Most individuals should not enter into a vehicle lease. I suggest you would be better served to purchase a new or used vehicle. Minimize your debt. Read the article below.

Are you buying you current car and leasing another? Don't even consider it.

Credit scores are 550 to mid 800s. The 2 and 7 levels may refer to the auto dealer's tiers but not true credit scores. Leasing is designed for people with good credit.

Try myfico.com for your actual score. You can choose one of the credit reporting companies or get all three. Anything above 750 is gold.

Since you did not indicate the terms of the lease it is impossible to evaluate. How much down, what is the residual after the lease term is up? Open or closed lease?

Since auto manufacturers need to move metal in this economy $576 seems excessive...even for a high end car which this is not.

Lease specials are better when new models come out in the fall.

Home charger set ups may cost several hundred to install.

Someone in your position should never lease a car.

Contemplating leasing a car from toyota. The quote was a little high but I just want to make sure it is justified and I am not getting swindled.

basically it is a brandnew prius plugin advanced model. It retails for 35000. They quoted me a price of 576 per month for 36 months and 12k miles/ year.

apparently my credit is horrible because of my credit cards. I have been paying on another toyota loan for 18 months without missing a payment aswell as paying my extended warranty through toyota religiously.

I was a level 7 on the credit score the dealers use and the sales manager got me to a level 2.

my question is does 576 per month sound about right??it concerns me because after the 3 years I will have paid over 20k just to lease a car. I am new to this so go easy.
