Yes you are legally required to pay through the full 30 days notice.
Why do you think your soon-to-be-former LL should finance your move? It is not his problem that you do not have the money to move.
Of course you have to pay rent through the notice period. You don't get to live in someone else's property for free.
in USA , u got to pay until the 17th of August
unless you want extra lefal costs/fees.
need extra money? sell/pawn stuff.
work cash jobs on weekends
ok that helps thank you
You have to pay for the 17 days of August. You never get to live somewhere free.
But, you might actually be able to stay until the end of August, legally. Typically, either party must give 30 days notice from the end of the next lease renewal period. For the average month to month tenant that pays rent on the first, your renewal period starts on the first of each month (or whatever day you pay rent). This means they'd have to give you 30 days notice to vacate by the first of the month to move at the end of the month.
They typically can't end your tenancy mid term.
So, yes, you need to pay the rent. But, you might have some extra time.
