Instead you stay where you are until you are in a position to move, or until you have a friend who can put you up until you can afford to move into your own place (with roommates). No one aside from a motel is going to rent to you without having a job and a motel will charge you too much cash to support yourself until your are completely destitute.
Moving takes planning. The first priority is to establish a job. This may take a visit to establish depending on what type of job you are looking for. The second is to establish a place to live. It is irresponsible and ignorant and immature to make a move without doing these two things first unless you have a lot more than $1500 to work with.
Before I give any actual advice, I'd just like to commend you on your bravery and confidence. Moving and starting from near to scratch is quite an undertaking! :-)
First of all, scour bulletin boards, newspapers, etc. for apartment listings. Choose the cheapest one you can find in a suitable location. Since you, as I presume, are going to be living on your own, space won't be an issue. Try to live with the bear minimum until you are more steadily on your feet- abstain from buying items you don't need or anything that seems overpriced.
Secondly, look for a job. This is obviously going to be the biggest challenge for you; in today's weak economy and notoriously competitive job market. Ask anywhere - in bars, restaurants, hotels, stores - if they're employing. Answer advertisements. Even if you feel you're overqualified for a job, beggars can't be choosers: Take what you can get (and work yourself up) until you are in a comfortable position to choose.
Good luck, honey! You'll be fine. :-{) <3
That money can really go fast if you don't yet have employment, you will be a breath a way from being a homeless street person, you need to be frugal as possible to make it stretch out for a couple of months if needed. Look for a cheap room to rent or room mates wanted, or maybe a shelter.
Typically apartments want to see evidence of a stable income source that's 3X the monthly rent.
Some of the cheapest rentals may be represented in these Zillow,.com listings

ok so the way i see it is you have two options, A go there get a sh***hole apartment and ride a bike to work untill you make enought to move, it would suck but you could do it. or B go there take out a loan with minimal intrest, get a decent apartment/car and work off the loan which would take a few, it wouldnt be bad living but you would be in debt for a while and have to pay intrest, i would recomend this because you will have a nice place to crash and a good way to get to work. that and for both try to work 2-3 jobs untill you get "on your feet" . and finaly goodluck
Where do you live now? Do you have a job there? If you do, finding a place there to live and continuing to work and save more for awhile would be good, even if yu have to move from where you live now.
Do you know anyone in GA that you could stay with for awhile?
Try staying in a cheap motel with weekly or monthly rates until you can find a job. Or find a friend you can stay with.
WHY do you HAVE TO move?? Drug deal gone bad? Your parents abuse you?
>> Maybe you can live in your car - if it is warm enough.
Okay so basically I will only have 1500 dollars saved up when I move. I Absolutley have to move, so I can't save more. I am going to Georgia and need an apartment and job. I really need someone to tell me how I can do this. Like I said, I have no choice so only helpfully comments please!
