Do I make enough to live on my own?

Your parent's did you a HUGH disservice by not teaching you about financial basics. You are going to have to make up for what they didn't do - start reading the personal finance pages of places like yahoo, your bank's webpage, the LA Times, OC Register, and the Wall Street Journal.

On income of $800 a month, you can afford rent and utilities of not more than $270 a month.

Rent in OC for a studio in a place like Stanton or Buena Park will be $800 a month and that does not include utilities.

do u have a good mechanically solid minivan?

then yes u can move into that.

a homeless shelter is also an option.

if u think u got it tough Now, wait till u living on

street.

google 'for rents' where u live.

u need a minimum of Four times the Rent

to live alone or even with a 'roommate'.

Tough it out.

in 3-5 yrs u can move out - will give u decades

with out living with them.

No. Most people cannot rent on a part time job. You need to make closer to $2 or 3,000/ mo to be able to rent much more than a shack in many cities.

800-1000? You barely have enough money for rent

Not alone, you would then have to add rent, electric, water, cable, groceries to you budget. Plus there are car repairs & other incidentals that happen.

Im currently a full time student at a local community college. I also work part time and roughty get around 28 hrs a week which by the end of the month usually ends up around $800-1000. My question is do I have enough to live alone? Im tired of living with my family, always cramped, no privacy and overall not happy here lol. The only expenses i have is phone bill, car insurance and gas. I live in Southern CA so im not sure if I can live on my own. Even if it means renting a room. Thanks in advance:)
