Collections on my credit.?

There's not much you can do unfortunately. The damage to your credit score has already occurred when the collections were put on your credit score. Paying them off isn't going to help much.

It's not going to help you with a landlord, all you can do is explain the situation and hope they understand. Their main concern is will you pay your rent on time and are you responsible.

As an individual owner that rents out a few houses- I would decide this case based on how sure I feel that you will pay my rent on time. It could be the medical bills were a one time and extremely large thing that would not keep you from paying me.

You can pay the bill, That will rectify the situation as much as possible. Showing as paid is MUCH better.

i suppose credit is ruined as ricki stated and im sure you where told in the mail warnings to pay it off.Sorry to hear that what you need to worry about is finding a secured future screw the bureau.Get a job a career do something!!!!

If renting from an apartment complex, they most likely will not hold that against you. Go fill out an application.

I have recently had medical bills hit collections and my credit score. What can I do to rectify the problem? I will need to find a rental in the next few months. If I get enough before to pay it all off it will be on my report but labeled paid... Will that help me in my hunt vs unpaid? Options? Advice? Experience? I'm now a single mom and struggling.
