It's unfair to him, and it just doesn't make any sense for you. Unless you have about 75,000 extra dollars just kicking around in a bank account for emergencies: you are not making a wise decision. After about 5 years, my brother was dead of a heart attack and my sister-in-law is bedridden with cancer. Don't try to go ahead, as the lender will call and re-verify your employment at the last minute, and your loan will not fund. You will lose your earnest money if you have lied about your employment and not kept your lender apprised of the situation.
