Firstly, all telephone area codes in the UK start with 0, and mainly with 01 02 or 03, so '705' in itself isn't a valid code. If you're dialling internationally then it could be (as in, +44-705), but it's still not an area code per se, numbers starting with 7 are predominantly mobile (aka. 'cell', to our American cousins) phone numbers. However, it gets worse than that - where the next digit is 0 (ie. 70), the number is in fact one of the so-called 'personal numbers' which are virtual and can be routed anywhere. More often than not you'll find those being used in some sort of a scam, sometimes so that the number terminates abroad and you end up paying a lot of money just by calling it.
UK?
http://areacode.org/705 That is not a valid UK area code
There are no area codes of that length in the UK.
It isn't an area code. If you are calling from abroad it's a mobile number, as you take off the first zero when calling the UK from abroad.
I take it you are being scammed.
Needs a ZERO at start to be a code....
I think 01705 covers Plymouth
