I live in a marginal (Wirral West) and the amount from the Tories has been astonishing. I've been getting stuff through the main post, plus flyers, every single day for the last couple of weeks (it was three today). They must have bloody millions to throw away. I've also had the Tory candidate at my door, she thanked me for "being so candid".
I've had maybe 6 or 7 pieces in total from Labour and 1 from the libdems, a couple from UKIP. Didn't read a single one of them, apart from UKIP because it was hilarious "I run a family funeral business". Despite all this, the polls are all saying it's going to be an overwhelming drop-kick for Esther and that prediction has not changed in months.
I can't believe any of this stuff influences voting intentions - how dim would you have to be? I'm half expecting to see/hear Esther Mcvey on a tannoy out the back of a Ford Cortina at this rate.
Yes, they are local ones, and no, I made up my mind ages ago. Every candidate is entitled to deliver one free, and that's all anyone bothers with around here as I live in a safe Conservative seat (Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, where 57% of us voted Conservative last time). Mum is getting hardly anything too, as Beaconsfield would also vote for a donkey with a blue rosette on it, though I expect my sister is getting more as Watford is more marginal - it changed hands last time.
I expect they're having fun in Uxbridge and South Ruislip next door, where Boris is standing, and is opposed by, amongst several others, Howling Laud Hope of the Official Monster Raving Loonies and Lord Toby Jug of the Eccentric Party (which got formed because Mr Jug got kicked out of the Loonies). Or maybe not - that'll go Tory again, or Boris wouldn't be standing there.
Started getting quite a few visits from canvassing candidates handing out flyers in the last few days.
Fortunately I'm a postal voter and already voted last week, so I smile politely, take the leaflets and put them straight in the paper recycling bin at the front of the house.
I've received several political flyers through my door and all bar the most recent were relegated to my recycling bin. The latest one, from UKIP , was printed by Media Print Group, B69 4JX. Non will influence my vote but am intrigued as to why you ask where they were printed. What disgusts me is that I haven't been 'door-stepped' by anyone, from any party, who thinks my vote worth having! (O.A.P., Derbyshire, High Peak).
No because I live at the end of a remote country lane and as I live in such a safe Tory seat, nobody bothers much. I had already decided before the election not to vote because of my dissatisfaction with the Green Party
I don't care about politics why because politicians are just people with different agendas they always promise this and that nothing ever changes
Quite honestly, I used a UKIP newspaper cover to clear up some mess from my puppy yesterday. It made me happy.
Yes, no surprise as an election looms, they have no influence on my vote and some are published locally.
Safe Labour seat and ONLY from Labour and Conservatives....The Conservative lives hundreds of miles away....
about 5 all conservatives
