To those that favoured Scotland becoming its own country, how do you all feel about remaining part of the UK?
To those that favoured Scotland still being a part of the UK, why do you believe this is good.
Thank you to everyone that has answered. From the USA to the UK - best wishes to all! :)
Never been happier than when we voted no. 10.6% it wasn't even close it was a difference of about 420,000 more people voted no than yes. Being part of the UK allows us to be part of one of the most powerful countries in the world. Economically it couldn't be better we won that argument hands down. We have the 4th strongest military in the world and can form a partnership with the US and try to be a force for good in this world. The Union has lasted 308 years and has been the best thing that happened to Scotland I am proud to be British
It was just as well the majority didn't believe Alex Salmond's bluster. He dodged all the economic questions. The crash in oil prices has made the value of Scottish oil only 20% of his predictions.
After complaining about Westminster parliament in London, he now wants to join it.
The referendum changed everything. The UK cannot remain so profoundly London-centric as it is today. Its constituent countries would benefit more from a federal arrangement rather than outright independence. Scotland would be viable as an independent country even with the oil price at rock bottom.
I wish they had voted Yes,
We could then forget all about them.
Perhaps the Welsh would then follow and go away.
What you seem NOT to get is that the component FOUR parts of OUR UK are COUNTRIES in own right WITHIN THE UNION....ONE KINGDOM...
We tried to get rid of them but they didn't take the bait.
