London M25 toll gates?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
Do I have to pay each time I pass the opened toll gates? Or do I pay as soon as I get on the m25 motorway no matter what part it is? As while the toll gates were active there was no toll charge going to Heathrow airport from Woodford and I do night shifts there so does this mean I have to pay on the way back home?

What toll gates would these be, then? The only toll is on the Dartford crossing, called the Dart Charge, which is levied from 6am to 10pm, but the toll booths no longer operate as of last night. There is also the central London congestion charge, but that is not, nor ever was, enforced by toll booths.

There are no tolls on the M25 - there is a toll each way for the Dartford crossing both the QE2 Bridge and the tunnel but other than that there are no tolls

Nothing has changed the only toll is for the river crossing at Dartford the toll gates have

been removed and you now have to pay online or by phone you do not pay anything

between 2200 to 0600

You sound confused. The charge was for going through the Dartford toll. You don't pay for driving on the M25.

the toll at dartford crossing it is still there
