Do you like living in London?

No specific reason just asking... What are the pros and cons?

Depends what line you are in. I couldn't do the work I do anywhere else and I enjoy where I live. I don't do all the things I thought I would, but then i do other things eg premieres, private views etc that I never thought I would.

I lived in London until I was 25 in 1955 ; as a child at school and afterwards it was acceptable. After National Service I moved out, though my parents remained there, and I watched the area go downhill, shops closed and remained empty, cinemas closed or became bingo halls, car ownership increased making it almost a nuisance having one as it was difficult to find a parking spot.

Have been away from London now for about 60 years - would not want to live there now. Went to London yesterday, took me nearly two hours to drive the 30 miles, in some parts the pedestrians on the pavement were leaving me behind.

It has it's good and bad. Good is that, if it isn't in London, it doesn't exist. Bad is that, you need to be rich to enjoy living in London. Living wage in London is 9.15 pounds per hour, which is a lot. If you have money and enjoy living in a multi-cultural society, London will be perfect for you.

I lived in London for the first 57 years of my life before retiring to the countryside as most of my interests revolve around hiking, nature and gardening. I still love my visits to London for its culture, restaurants, cinemas and gorgeous parks and open spaces

DID, and had a few great years BUT left, selling a SMALL studio flat, in an OK area of South London and ,FOR THE SAME MONEY, bought a lovely, Victorian family house in a good suburb of MANCHESTER...Says so much..LOVE LONDON but HOME is here now....London is NOT home if on ordinary salaries pushed further & further out!!!

Rent is high.

Price of food is high.

Jobs are available, however positions are fairly limited and competition is fierce, large number of unemployed.

Heavily congested traffic.

Besides all that, I quite like living in London.

Yes

i love it, we have the best parks you could wish for
