British people, what do you think of Canada?

Great country, only been there once, about 20 years ago. Loved Toronto, and Montreal was a great place to spend a weekend; just stayed a few hours in Ottawa while changing trains so I didn't get a good look around the place. Took the train from Toronto to Winnipeg and got a feeling for how empty the country is - around 30 hours of forests, and lakes, and forests, and lakes, and oh look! - there's a person! Don't think I'd like to stay for the winter, seeing all the spaces in the parking lots in Winnipeg had a box you could plug your car into to keep the engine from freezing made quite an impression - I'm told they get to -50C with the windchill, brrrrr!

I love Toronto - multicultural, great for eating out, cinema and wonderful green spaces. Montreal is fascinating too. Calgary and Vancouver I found to be bland and boring. Am appalled by the current right wing government. Love the natural landscape like the Rockies and Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island etc. Hate the winter climate. I think Canada is being held back as a tourist destination by its very poor rail system - sparse, infrequent and slow

America lite. Nice scenery and nice people but no culture. Bad music. Toronto looks worth a visit.

I went once to Toronto and I loved it, I found it MUCH more English then england

I always wanted to be a lumberjack.

LOVE IT...There every year.....Wish had stayed years ago when had the chance..BEST COUNTRY IN WORLD...

They make documentaries about otters and some of them think they are French.

excellent ...wonderful country ...and the people were fine as well ...no complaints from me

Great place if you get rid of the French!
