The best place to travel is where YOU want to go. If this is Asia, then go to Asia and not to South America.
And the problem with working abroad is that you usually need a working visa. So you'd only be able to get illicit work, which means low pay and if you're found out, you could be deported and barred from entering the country again.
Central Mexico is awesome, you can see the Pacific Ocean, the Rain Forest, the Mountains, Mexico City, active volcanoes, the desert, the Yucatan, The gulf, the Caribbean, ancients ruins, loads of pyramids, a huge reef, Cancun, you could fill a month or two of vacation easily.
you cant work in asia and earn money. very hard chance.
If you want something like work and travel go to Australia. hard to get a job but they pay good.
there is no "best" place, it is all a matter of personal preference
